     Yes, it's all about the Impression.  And that is from the other person. 
How are we supposed to alter their view?  That is up to them, not us.

     Let me put it another way.  I walk down the street.  Someone brushes up 
against me on a crowded street.  I don't mean shoulder checks me.  I don't 
mean clips me.  I mean the faintest whisper of cloth on cloth.  I scream, "HE 
ATTACKED ME!!!!!!"  The other people look over and wonder what crack *I* am on 
because of my /mistaken impression/.  Who has to change, the guy who barely 
touched me or me?

     As has been told to you, and others, to excess, these are not attacks. 
You want attacks on the internet try treading into some MMORPG's general 
forums some time.  Or even try to discuss politics or religion in a webforum. 
  Those, my friend, are attacks.

     Your IMPRESSION is wrong.  Their IMPRESSION is wrong.  Correct it.

     Geez, this is what we get when we push for cradle-to-adult bubble wrap on 
the world.
