OT: which to use - email client or web-based email?

    Which should be the default behavior of multi-account mail clients.  I
never understood this idea, which I first saw in Eudora back in the 90s,
of pulling from multiple accounts and then dumping them all into a
single location and running them through the same set of filters. 
Always seemed that if I really wanted all my mail in one account I'd
just use one account.  *shrug*
