i want my mother (or yours if she does use ubuntu) to be able to get
support on this list if she doesnt get along with ubuntu.

ask yourself if she would understand the tech slang if you answer
somebodies mail ...

this list is for ubuntu *users* which includes everyone out there using
it, as we just learned in another thread from the 2 year old up to the
90 year old. people with and without any technical background ... just
try to take that into account in answers... 

it has nothing to do with willing or not willing to adapt to tech slang,
there might be that guy/girl that just has a question he/she needs to
have answered *to get the job done* ... seriously i wouldnt expect such
users to read up a slang disctionary before asking a question. 

we are humans interacting with humans talking about tools we use, let
not the tools dictate how we have to choose our speech but lets use the
most effective way to get the info across which is simple human
speech :)

ubuntu is more than software, code or technical descriptions, dont let
it lose its spirit ...
