Firefox closes / quits at random

Which version of Firefox are you running?

I had this on FF2.x for a while. In the end I decided to blame it on bad 
  JS writing or interpreting, and turned JS off for the majority of sites.

Not entirely sure if that solved it, since I switched to FF3 shortly 
afterwards and have been enjoying the stability of the nightlies since.
