f-spot: speed of slideshow/screensaver

Hiya,

I know there is a long-standing bug report on wanting slideshow
options for gnome f-spot (see
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325165 ) but has anyone
happened to find some other way to slow the transition between photos
in a slideshow/screensaver?

There is a bug attached to the patch which claims to do this, but I
really want to avoid having custom compiled packages on my system.


Any suggestions?
