Should Partition Properties be blank?

Mine mounts automatically because it is in /etc/fstab - I think, that't 
what you mean with automatically.

Yes, everything empty.

BTW: Why are you usually posting with HTML only mails instead of plain 
text? Or did you finally manage to setup your thunderbird correctly?
