SATA hdd not detected by ubuntu possible bug

Don't know for your systems, but here, with the factory settings in the 
bios, the SATA controller is set in RAID mode. On that mode, only doze 
finds the drives... To install Ubuntu on the drive, I had to set the 
controller to "legacy" mode...
