problem with firefox and google toolbar

Dear list
I use Kubuntu 8 and firefox 2. I recently installed google toolbar. I was
suprised because the bookmark function does not work. When you try to
bookmark any page, nothing happens.
Do you have the some problem on your browers please. On fedora, this
function works well.
