Wireless network problem after upgrade to 8.04

    Still haven't got as far as the backported driver, but I did replace 
nm-applet with Wicd. Dunno that there's a great deal of difference, but 
it can see my network (as could nm eventually). I can't connect to it, 
but I can see it listed there.

    I did see in Network Tools from the Administration Menu that there 
were no IPv4 settings, but plenty of IPv6. It has no significance to me, 
but may mean something.

    I'll have another play with it tomorrow if my wife lets me :)
