Ubuntu 8.04 LTS installation on ServerWorks failed to read CD-ROM

Hi,

I am new to Ubuntu that I started to use Ubuntu since 6.02.2 LTS server 
edition. The version I had problems with was 8.04 LTS server edition. 
Are you saying that 8.04 LTS is in beta quality, not suitable for 
production use?
