Edgy down?

"cannot" - I'd expect that from some other posters...

Sure you can - I have no idea why you'd want to, but if you're running edgy
purely as an Internet _client_, I'd be surprised if you ever had a a
security problem over the life of your computer.  If you're running it as a
server, there'd be a greater chance, but still - over edgy's life, how many
security updates have actually fixed _real_ exposures, and not just
potential ones?  I admit I don't pay a lot of attention - I just accept the
updates - but many of the ones I do read are clearly intended to fix
problems that have never actually occurred.
