Ripping a DVD

Thoggen, hands down.

Thoggen just rips to ogg, no choice there. You do have choice about the
resolution, though. I wonder what you hope to gain by ripping to
1280x800, though, since AFAICT the DVD native resolution is just 576p

Someone else recommended dvd::rip, but I find it really sucks in
usability. If you want options as well as reasonable usability, then I'd
suggest AcidRip
