Will a new Ubuntu 8.04 install automatically see NTFS partitions?

Not if it is mounted read-only

I'm not sure, to be honest. My install was upgraded from Gutsy, and so
8.04 inherited its setup. But the reply to the link I posted seem to
indicate that it is still usefl
