You just need to use Synaptic to install the 'server' kernel. It should
support up to 64GB of RAM.
You should not that there is a performance penalty I am not sure how much,
but it is probably in the 1-5% range depending on what you are doing.

Subject: 8.04 plus 8GB RAM

Hello, I've installed 8.04 desktop version in a intel xeon 2.5 GHz 8 cores
server with 8GB of RAM but ubuntu does not recognize all memory, but only
2.5GB...

What should I do to solve this problem?

Thanks, Eduardo Beloni
