What are you talking about? He tried to unsubscribe by posting to the
list, and Brie Gordon provided an answer in a pretty friendly or at
least not offensive way. He even added a "Regards".

What do you mean? From what I can see in my personal list archive as
well as on Google, Kauê Linden posted 7 times to the list:
Once about how to set up a Brazilian keyboard without dead keys on his
MacBook Air and got a quick reply that solved his problem. Then followed
5 posts of chit chat about small laptops, especially the Air and its
suitability for Ubuntu, in the same thread.
And then he unsubscribed.
So, how was he treated wrongly?

See above. Help was given within 17 minutes of his first post, accepted,
and worked.

I suppose to must have seen other posts by him that I and Google missed.
Could you please link to the list archives and point them out? Thanks.
By the way, someone who buys a MacBook Air to install Ubuntu on it
certainly does not look like a newbie or computer illiterate to me.
