wireless enabling problem at network manager

Hi all,

This maybe a bug or not. I had seen a similar problem at the bug
report (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/75914)
and at the end of the problem it is said this problem is solved at the
upstream. Till that time there haven't been any update of network
manager so for the upstream packages, if i want to install the
upstream of the network manager applet what should i do? (I am using
hardy)

Secondly the problem is related with the ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan3:
link is not ready. Maybe there is a quick command solution. I am
using these commands to enable and disable the wireless:

Enable: dbus-send --system --type=method_call
--dest=org.freedesktop.NetworkManager /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.setWirelessEnabled boolean:true

Disable:
dbus-send --system --type=method_call
--dest=org.freedesktop.NetworkManager /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.setWirelessEnabled boolean:false

When i send the disable command nm-applet changes its icon. Then i
send the enable command but while the applet shows that it is getting
connected i send the disable command again and the icon shows
disconnected status. Then i send the enable again and i don't see any
activation at the nm-applet. At the messages log i see wlan3: link is
not message and i am not able to down the wlan3 interface with neither
ifconfig nor ifdown. Restarting the networking doesn't help also.
Indeed the nm-applet shows some essids but the icon is the
disconnected status and i can not see my wireless pointer's essid
inside them. When i choose the click to another network option from
the nm-applet and write the name of the essid it gets connected. So it
seems there is a way to activate the wlan3 link. If somehow i can
manage it from the console i will be happy.

Any idea?
