Yes!! Especially since in ubuntu 8.04 (desktop edition), it puts your
system in a recovery recovery console (believe it or not it did when i
issued the command). I definately do not recommend putting a _Server_ in
recovery mode..think of what hackers could do if they hacked in to your
network....
btw it shuts down more then just your firewall (or on my system it did).
it also shut down my wifi connection from what i can remember (my
computer flashed it by so fast i only saw bits and pieces of what it
shut down)
