It's early in the morning and maybe there is a better solution, but it
seems sensible to do the following if there isn't one:
sudo su ventrilo -c "/etc/ventrilo/ventrilo_srv -d"
The OP can the set up /etc/sudoers to allow running 'su ventrilo -c
"/etc/ventrilo/ventrilo_srv -d"' without a password
