Help with Switching from Windows

Does Windows read the CD? It should come up saying Ubuntu 8.04 as the disk
name or something like that. Also define fail? Does your computer crash? Are
you pressing F12 at boot up? Also remember that you need to burn as an .iso
file rather than simply burn the iso file onto the disk.
