Loading of a Live CD stops?

(I think my first post of this got scrubbed for some reason - html format?)

Thanks Kailesh ...

I thought it may be something to do with the CD or the CD drive, but the
CD itself works in other systems. This is a further complicated
situation because I know that the CD worked in the drive the first time
I used it to boot from, then after that, it has always given me the
error I reported. Nothing else has been changed on the system and the
CD isn't damaged now - it still works in other systems! The system for
some reason, seems to have retained an awareness of the first failure?

Cheers ... Tom.
