You have to run make menuconfig to generate a .config file. Select the bits 'n' bobs for the kernel you want, then run make, followed by make modules.....

There are other variants, "make xconfig", "make config" each has a different style interface. xconfig requires GTK+ I believe.

Hi
all,

I
need
to
make
a
custom
kernel
so
where
is
the
.config
file?
I
had
install
the
linux-source
package
and
also
the
header
package,
but
can't
find
the
.config
file!

Thanks
in
advance

Nuno
