Hi Philippe
Thanks for your feedback and the hint to the Skype Forum !
Skype is working on all our systems and the problem isn't Skype !!

Here with Ubuntu 7.10 Skype is working too ...
... except it does NOT show video !!!

Our Ubuntu Skype displays the Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX
as /dev/video0 !!

Clicking on "Test" it shows NOTHING !

Is /dev/video0 OK and CORRECT ???

I am quite sure it's a Ubuntu setting problem I could resolve,
if I know where to set correctly. ;-)

So any hints and suggestions where I have to ...
... are very appreciated and welcome. ;-))

Cheers, svobi

PS:
To make sure that the Webcam gets enough power it's connected
with a powered USB hub !

This powered hub recognizes a SD card and its DCIM content !!

So I assume USB seems working correctly !!!
