Fresh install of Gutsy, SD card reader detected, not seeing cards

Ricoh card readers have very poor support under Linux. You can check
here to see if it might be supported:

However, I have a Fujitsu laptop with a slightly different model Ricoh
SD / Memory Stick reader that is not supported... at all. Best place
to search would be with your favorite search-engine. Someone *might*
have gotten it working under Linux, but most likely it will not work.
Unfortunately, Ricoh lets manufacturers pretty much customize their
readers to their liking, and most laptop manufacturers do not release
specs or Linux drivers for their devices. As a result of the heavy
customization, it's not really worth anyone's while to try to
reverse-engineer drivers for the readers, as each one (and it can
differ between models from the same manufacturer) is different.
