Open office lacks window decoration occationally

Hi all,

I have a problem which i find somewhat strange. The problem is related
to the window decoration. When I run OpenOffice.org Spreadsheet the
window decoration is lost and the window is maximized, the same occurs
when I run OpenOffice.org Presentation. However, OpenOffice.org Writer
has normal behaviour with window decoration.

Randomly I found that if I have Writer open and then opens a file with
an already crated Spreadsheet or Presentation document, then the window
decoration appears normally.

Of course, I could live with keeping a Writer document open and always
open existing presentations or spreadsheets before creating new ones,
but... I'd rather not...

I tried to disable all the visual effects, but without any sucess. I
have also triet to remove the ~/.openoffice.org2 directory but that had
no effect either. I guess that it has something to do with how the
window manager catches the windows upon creation, but I don't have
enough knowledge in the matter to go any furhter in this... I'm more
experienced with fvwm than gnome/compiz/metacity or whatever it is
causing this problem...

Does anyone have an idea?

I run Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbbons with all the latest packages on an HP Compaq
nw9440 with Nvidia graphics and the restricted driver.

best regards
/Johan
