Oem-config problem

[Pradyumna]

My sister activated the oem-config(ready to ship to end users). On next restart, the steps to set up an ubuntu account were shown but she cancelled the process. Now grub command line reports the 'root=' option is invalid. Maybe oem-config deleted the previous account created during install. Please tell me how to recover the system,
