Rhythmbox can't play my music

AFIK hardy is released and rhythmbox works like a charm... At least,
I've no problem... did you try to run it with the --debug command line
switch? may be as

rhythmbox --debug 2> foo &

to have the (quite big) debug output somewhere you can look at it.

By the way, what do you mean by "can't play music"? It does not start
playing a song? It starts but no sound comes out? It does not find the
songs? 

Other important point could be: in which format is your music stored?
mp3? ogg? flac?
