Openoffice in Gutsy

Hi.
I am having problems starting openoffice in ubuntu Gutsy. I fails with 
the error:
Bus error (core dumped)

** (process:10683): WARNING **: Unknown error forking main binary / 
abnormal early exit ...
ken at pingu:~$>

I have googled and found some suggestions related to gtk and ati closed 
drivers.
I am using the nvidia closed drivers.
None of the suggestions I have found so far have helped me. The messages 
seems to be dated around the release date.
Does someone have a hint?
