As people have said, there's a built-in Yahoo client. It's called
Pidgin in Ubuntu 7.10.

However, it won't do voice or webcam.

There is also an official Yahoo client which does support viewing
others' webcams - I've used it in the past. Get it from Yahoo. I'm not
sure if it can send - I've never set up a webcam on my Ubuntu box. I
do have an old one I never use, but Linux doesn't recognise it. I must
try this!

If you want two-way sound and video, though, your best bet is Skype.
In my experience, none of the Linux or Mac cross-platform chat clients
are very good at audio/video. It's mainly a Windows thing. Skype, on
the other hand, specialises in this.
