Directly into the computer.

I see the disconnect and reconnect, but no word from gspca:

Jan  4 23:02:42 feisty-laptop kernel: [77870.692000] usb 2-1: USB
disconnect, address 5
Jan  4 23:02:50 feisty-laptop kernel: [77878.356000] usb 2-1: new full

Hmm, this is interesting:

$ ls -l /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/ubuntu/gspcav1/media/
ls: /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/ubuntu/gspcav1/media/: No such file
or directory
$

Wait, I found it here:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 991029 2008-01-04 19:57 gspca.ko

No, it's today.

I guess I'll pull a Microsoft: I'll reboot and see if that fixed things.

I do have lots of new information. If I didn't want to learn, trust
me, I wouldn't even bother anybody else on the list. Thank you very
much, for helping and teaching me. I really do appreciate it.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
