Trying to mount archived mbox file from cdrom in folder of evolution profile

So as a follow up question, does anyone know of a way to get evolution
to read an mbox formatted file straight off the cdrom?

As a last resort, I'd copy the old archive back onto the active disk but
I don't want to do that.  I want to mount it just to view from the
cdrom.  Alternatively, a program that reads and displays files in mbox
format, like an mbox viewer or something similar.
