There is another OpenOffice.org application: 'Base'. You can create data 
bases with it: tables, queries, reports, etc.
To the extend I know, it is a quite powerfool tool comparable with 
'Access' in Microsoft Office.
My (Kubuntu) Gutsy Gibbon Life CD did not automatically install Base. 
However, I could easily find it in the regular repositories via e.g. 
'Synaptic': under the key word 'OpenOffice'.
