Scanners based on the GL841 chipset are not yet supported. This is
supposed to be added to the genesys backend, but it seems the
developers are busy with other things. I tried to contact them to ask
about helping (I have a CanoSan 8800F) but no reply unfortunately. You
might like to join the sane-devel ML in any case, the more people ask
about things like that there the greater the chance we might get a
project going.
