Hi Karl
Why parted ?
Why NOT GParted ??
Maybe you find GParted already in your "System" - "Administation" as
"Partiton Editor" ???

Well, Ubuntu's GParted is still version 0.3.4.3 !
There are already higher versions: A LiveCD with 0.3.4.11 wich works
better and faster !!
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843&package_id=173828
A phantastic tool !

There is a new team also to continue with its develepment: Latest
version 0.3.5 !!!
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/news.php

I would love to replace the Ubuntu GParted 0.3.4.3 to be replaced at
least with 0.3.4.11
the latest one from the previous team !?

On the other hand:
Manipulations like done with GParted are done better without the system
running and
therefor the LifeCD is a superb solution !!!

One more thing, a personal experience:
Partition Magic nor another tool I use was able to shrink my XPP/NTFS
partition !
GParted 0.3.4.11 worked like a charm !!

For me it's a MUSThave !!! ;-D

Cheers, svobi
