correct partition recognition problem

i have on my main harddisk  four partitions; one for windows, two for linux
and swap. before my widows partitions was labled sda1 and my second linux
partition was sda2. i had a problem with grub and after failing to reinstall
it properly i reinstalled ubuntu 7.10 on the sda2 partition. now the
partitions mount as disk-1 and  disk-3. my question is how do  i get  back
the partitions as sda?
