I've got a problem where if I leave my laptop on over night it will
be locked up the next day. This started just after upgrading to
7.10 (I was on 7.04). When I get up and attempt to use the laptop
I find that the CPU side is warmer than when it's normally running
properly and that the screen is blank and there is no response
to the keyboard or mouse. At this point I have to hold the power
switch for about 10 seconds.
Here's what I see in the log file /var/log/messages
Feb 16 02:19:02 Toshiba -- MARK --
Feb 16 02:39:02 toshiba -- MARK --
Feb 16 06:57:06 toshiba syslogd 1.4.1#20ubuntu4: restart.

Feb 16 06:57:06 toshiba kernel: Symbols match kernel version 2.6.20.
Feb 16 06:57:06 toshiba kernel: No module symbols loaded - kernel modules
not enabled.
Then the reset of the reboot. I did not have this problem with
7.04.
PS, during a lock up the fan is still running.
Thanks
