| According to the INSTALL file, you need libgd2-dev but it isn't available
| for Gutsy. If you search for libgd2 with synaptic you can find
| libgd2-xpm-dev which might work instead.

hmmm. well i thought if i did an apt-get install libgd* i would have
found that, but never did oh well. found the libgd2-xpm-dev and
installed through synaptic. i realize this isnt a list for dv2vloopback
(they dont have one, or a forum hence why im here) i got further this
time, but still does not install for some reason. doesnt make the
install file.

gcc -o dv2vloopback dv2vloopback.c -Wall -O3 --fast-math -lgd
strip dv2vloopback
