sounds like to me for some reasons bios is misreading the drive size for
larger than the 250gb you say is installed? if it were me, id boot into
bios, change settings back to default, save and reboot.  see if same
error message shows up.

Thanks Steve.  The first thing I had them do was to go into BIOS and
check the info on the HDD and everything read correct.  I did not
consider Default but that is a very good idea if it does that again.  I
just got off the phone with my sister-in-law and after the unit sat for
an hour she turned it on and it booted normally.  I will try not to go
dummy up and to remember the default settings for repairingif it does it
again.
