Intrepid Ganymede: No "Help > Software Updates" (p2) in menu

I've recently installed Ganymede on Intrepid. Installation went smoothly.
Eclipse fires up without error. However, there isn't a "Software Updates" in
the Help menu. I've verified the p2 artifacts are installed in my Eclipse
directory (e.g. /p2, org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator, /dropins, etc).

I couldn't find any satisfactory answer on the web. Likely it's specific to
my installation but are there additional steps I could take, besides
reinstallation, to resolve this?
