Flash 10 / BBC iPlayer / USB Speaker problem

Hi All,

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 on my desktop machine and have a problem with
audio , but only when Flash is used.

The reason for trying to fix this is so that I can use the BBC iPlayer
desktop application.

Sound in Rhythmbox, Pidgin, Skype, Ekiga is all working perfectly.

I am using ALSA as the sound driver, I have followed various guides and
Howto's but unfortunately this has not worked.

The following output below shows that ALSA can see the soundcard and the
USB speakers.

> $ cat /proc/asound/cards
> 0 [VT82xx ]: HDA-Intel - HDA VIA VT82xx
> HDA VIA VT82xx at 0xfbffc000 irq 17
> 1 [default ]: USB-Audio - C-Media USB Audio
> C-Media INC. C-Media USB Audio at usb-0000:00:10.1-2, full speed

> $ sudo asoundconf set-default-card VT82xx
