Access and Publisher are Microsoft programs, and as such run on the  
Windows line of operating systems.  If you want to use those programs  
you'll need to install a virtual machine with a Windows OS, and then  
the programs.

OpenOffice, a free multi-os suite of tools includes Writer, Calc,  
Impress, Draw, and Base, which are equivalents to Word, Excel,  
Powerpoint, Paint, and Access.  You can learn more about OpenOffice  
at http://openoffice.org
