Defragging Windows

It depends on the file system if defragmentation is useful. It has nothing 
to do with the programs that you run. The Windows file systems FAT and 
NTFS need defragmentation but the Linux file systems (ext2, ext3) don't. 
So if you run the programs with WINE on the usual ext3 file system you 
don't have to worry about fragmentation.
