If this post is anyway connected to my orignal post then it would be nice if
you guys had responded to the original thread. If not let me know and I'll but out.
I am aware that 192.168.x.x are local. you may not be aware that I've always used 192.168.1.254, my gateway/router IP, to connect to 2wire.net and my network DSL configuration page. This was also verified currently correct through ATT Tech support; not the best I admit but what else is one to do. They also said it applied to both static and DCHP settings. I don't know what you mean by:

Doesn't say much. BTW, I don't have apache installed.
