Microphone not working after Intrepid upgrade

    I will try a mike on my Intrepid but want to say that the new Kernel 
last week fixed the sound problem here on my laptop running Intrepid 
without using Nigel's fixes.
    To see all the Alsa mixer adjustments you need to open a terminal 
and write alsamixer.
