If that does not work, try these
sudo apt-get install xmms2-plugin-ices
sudo apt-get install xmms2
However, xmms has been replaced by Audacious so try these as well
sudo apt-get install audacious
and the plugins:
sudo apt-get install audacious-plugins
sudo apt-get install audacious-plugins-extra
