soundcard is not working

As I see u have driver version 1.0.17

My chipset is like yours "Intel 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller"
and I had similar problem. With installation of driver version 1.0.18a and
corespondent libraries and utilities, everything started to functioned OK.
