It has more to do with being a parent/grandparent and answering such
questions :-)
However, at least one has the choice in linux to enter kernel boot
options. [OT] At present I'm working on salvaging a few old recycled
Windows computers and wanted to keep two of the drives because they have
some old Autocad programs on them. I though "cool" I'll just move the
drives to a faster linux box, unplug my linux drives & test them there.
No such luck - Windows gives the famous 'STOP : INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE
0x0000007B' error because the IDE controllers on the other machine are
not the same. Whereas with my linux drives I can easily move them from a
600Mhz machine to a 2.4Ghz machine with little or no problems at all...
