Actually, in my opinion, one commenter made a borderline "don't be
such a whiny newb" comment, and was called out for it. He then
apologized. It really should have ended at that. Instead, the whole
list had a field day out of him and probably drove away one of the few
posters on this list with professional Linux knowledge. I actually
would have preferred that this whole issue had never happened, as the
benefit certainly was not worth the cost.
