Solved!  Support for RV620 wasn't added until radeonhd 1.2, and Hardy
ships with 1.1.  I upgraded to 1.2 from Debian's unstable repository (as
well as xserver-xorg-core just in case) and everything works great.
Still no XVideo support, but I guess that's still in development.
