Edgy -> Hardy Upgrade, suggestions?

The repositories can be found somewhere, archived, but they're definitely
not being updated.

Only the Edgy-to-feisty-gutsy-hardy path is supported. If you wanted to
leave it that long between updates the recommended path was to install the
LTS version (dapper) and upgrade _that_ directly.

It's a VM. Clearly that's going to be a good size, but is it conceivably
possible that you can copy the entire VM to a better location and practice
the upgrade?
