Home acts like Desktop

    Mike not sure what happened to your system. But the Desktop is a 
simple folder off of your home folder. In a sense you have a folder 
/home/yourname/Desktop which you see when you boot up. Another way to 
see Desktop is to click on Places-Home-Folder and you see a folder 
called Desktop. Click on that and you see everything in Desktop.

    If you see something else tell us what you see.
